OUR SERVICES

Our diverse areas of expertise are designed to fit the needs of your program

01.

FATIGUE AND FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH TESTING

We will customize your testing program based on your needs and goals, be it standard or non-standard test procedures or geometries. Non-standard geometry examples include:

  • Surface flaw Bend Disk

  • Flat bottom Hole

  • Subscale test specimens (SF 3-pt bend)

  • As well as all std geometries

02.

MACHINING

We have machining capability for fixturing and FCG test specimens and will work together with you to build your next project.

03.

CONSULTING

We will analyze your data and compile our findings into a comprehensive report. We are here if you need advice or guidance with your program regardless of where the testing is taking place.

04.

FATIGUE AND FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH TESTING SOFTWARE

AFMA/FractureLab have joined forces and developed cutting edge fatigue and fracture growth software.

05.

PROBABILITY OF DETECTION

Another service that we offer is, probability of detection crack set development.  Using a combination of visual and non-visual methods to precisely dial in individual crack lengths to complete your set accurately.

FATIGUE AND FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH TESTING SOFTWARE

Our fully developed fatigue and fracture crack growth software system allows you to conduct any of the following tests:  static, dwell fatigue, cyclic crack growth, dwell crack growth, and da/dt crack growth. Check out our blog for more information about our software.

  • FractureLab/AFMA testing package (includes PD system, compliance, ADwinX or ADwin Gold, our software, custom enclosure, and integral PD relays).

  • System designed to work with your existing ADwin Gold and PD/compliance HW, or start fresh with a high speed ADwin-X.

  • Geometry supported: Compact Tension - CT, Eccentrically - Loaded Single Edge Notch Tensions -ESE(T), Single Edge Notch - SEN (Tension), Single Edge Notch - SEN (Bending), Middle Tension M(T), Flat Bottom Hole - FBH, Surface Flaw-SF (Tension) and Surface Flaw - SF (Bending Disk).

  • In addition to our standard software, we offer customization for your specific needs, geometries, and crack solutions.

05.

PROBABILITY OF DETECTION

We generate cracks to the customers target crack length and remove the flaw until only the crack remains or start with non-flawed samples (naturally initiated cracks).

  • Fatigue cycling while passively monitoring with compliance or PD. Exclusive FLcgs SW feature allows for a stop criterion of small changes in PD or compliance for un-attended crack generation inspection intervals.

  • Inspection - Acetate replication, fluorescent penetrant, PD, compliance changes

  • Documentation under an AxioVision Zeiss microscope (5X, 10X, 20X, 50X, 100X objectives)
